Free seeds, seedlings, and starts!
Join us for a Seed Swap on Saturday, May 11th from 1pm-3pm at Shalom Farms Northside Farm. Feel free to bring seeds and seedlings to trade if you would like. Eryn of Richmond Plant Hub will be bringing tons of free seeds to give away.
If you have the time, join RPH during the Seed Swap in re-packaging bulk seeds into smaller packets for little free seed library distribution.

Shalom Farms Northside Farm is the second growing location for the organization, the main farm is located about 20 minutes north of the city in Powhatan. The Northside Farm is a beautiful space tucked in Northside off of Brook Road and Westwood Avenue.
Shalom Farms was the place I personally started volunteering in 2019 when I realized that I wanted to get my hands in the dirt in service to food access. I began volunteering out at their Powhatan Farm and bonded quickly with the staff and other volunteers. It was amazing to see how much food we could grow and harvest.
I volunteered at the Northside Farm for 2022’s growing season and it was an absolute delight. The Northside Farm is about 5 acres and grows a stunning amount of food in this more compact environment.

Shalom Farms is a nonprofit working together to build healthy communities by growing and sharing healthy food. The food we grow is distributed through our network of programs and partnerships in communities where access to healthy food is limited.
