Saturday, April 30th, 2022 is a day chock-full-of plant sales and more in the Richmond Area.

Maymont Plant Sale: “Herbs Galore & More“

$7 per person online here / $9 day-of
FREE for members and children ages 12 and under

Mega Plant Sale coming at ya!! Join us, @hazelwitchfarm , @realrootsfoodsystems & guest appearance @meddo_co on April 30th from 9am-3pm for a day of seedlings, snacks and fun! We’ll all have a diverse selection of plants for sale from herbs to flowers to veggies to even a few fruits and ornamental plants for you yard and home! We are also super excited to announce we’re gonna have @pizzabonesrva pastries and @recluseroastingproject coffee!!! Some come on out to enjoy the farms and take home some babies of your own!

“…our first sale is this Saturday, and we’ve got over 8000 plants (real number) that need homes. Our focus will be offering a full range of veggie plants from North American culture but to also showcase the crops from the Afro-Caribbean diasporic experience, seeds mostly provided by @carterfarmsva …molokhoa, moyamensng tomato, calaloo , scotch bonnet peppers , and various delicious okras are just a few of what will be available. It’s also a joint event with our landmates. @hazelwitchfarm will be offering powerful medicinals as well as flowers and shrubs for pollinators of all sorts…@shinefarms will have creative veggies of all types as well as unique prebuilt growing bags for the casual lvl 1 gardener and those with a taste for symmetry.”

Dorey Park Native Plant Festival

Root 5 Family Farms & Keep Henrico Beautiful are co-hosting the first annual Native Plant Festival at Dorey Park. The will be a vendor fair (9am – 1pm), speakers, and food trucks.

Note: The festival will take place at the back of the park near the lake.
